Yecla-Barahonda Tranco 2010 DOC

£8.5 £5.5

Barahonda Tranco 2010 DOC is an easy drinking powerful red. This intriguing Spanish wine has a deep ruby colour and a captivating aroma of blackberries (typical of the Monastrell grape) mixed with vetegal aromas, black spice, and a sweet tobacco note. It has a lingering mouthfeel, firm tannins and refreshing acidity.  It has a a long fruity finish with a subtle smoky aftertaste. This wine is a perfect pairing with Serrano ham, chicken and barley soup, or beef stew with cabbage.

Located at the northern end of the region of Murcia, and surrounded by the Sierras de Salinas and de la Magdalena, this family-run winery is famous for using biotechnological control and lutte raisonnée in its vineyards, being one of the first Spanish producers to adopt this technique.
