Vermentino DOCG-‘Taerra’ 2010

£12.99 £9.75

This niche wine from the Tani family has great minerality and acidity.

‘Taerra’ Vermentino is produced in the heart of the Gallura hills in North East of Sardinia. The granite soils, the generous sun exposure, as well as the close proximity to the sea greatly benefits the vines, and in turn give this wine a lively minerality and a peculiar saline-savoury taste.

It is bright straw yellow with a green hue, an appealing bouquet,  smoky minerality with aromas of acacia, pineapple, and a hint of myrtle. Medium-bodied, the main character on the palate is a crisp lively acidity balanced by a fruity velvety texture. It has a long mineral finish with a bitter myrtle aftertaste. It works well with a seafood paella, or with fish pie with alioli sauce.
