Grape Harvest Festival Time!

Harvest has started in most of the Mediterranean countries. This is a very demanding labour period, however it is also a time of celebration. Grape harvest is a symbol of prosperity, a way to celebrate the end of the summer and to welcome the cooler season.

One way to celebrate this moment is to bake the symbolic Harvest Bread, a huge round-shape bread mixed with wine grapes.

As I do every year, I have made one this morning so I will enjoy my frugal dinner which will be a slice of this bread and a glass of red wine.  Which red? I don’t know yet…  I do really think every good red wine becomes super with this bread.
